Ahead By A Century
Ahead By A Century – A Tribute To The Tragically Hip

Peter

The Voice

Peter

Pete has been playing in bands since the ripe age of 14 (never mind how old that makes him!). After touring with multiple bands throughout western Canada during the 80’s, Pete settled down in the Edmonton area in 1990 and kept playing in the club scene in part time bands right up to 2012, when he took a much needed band break and began recording original material as part of The Eclectic Banana Project, right up to and during Covid. Ahead By A Century is his first “band” in a long time and has rekindled his love of performing on live stages.

Glenn

Glenn

On Guitar

Glenn has been playing guitar for over 40 years. A graduate of Grant MacEwan’s music program in 1985, Glenn went on to teach guitar and play in numerous bands, playing various genres. From wedding bands to corporate party bands to Tribute bands, Glenn has played all styles of music. Currently Glenn plays with Brigade, a Heart Tribute band, RadioCrush, a 80’s rock cover band and now Ahead by a Century, a tribute to The Tragically Hip.

Jay

More Guitar

Jay

Jay has been playing in the Edmonton music scene across multiple music genres ranging from punk and new wave in the 80s through to 90s alt rock and in a number of classic rock cover bands to present day. Besides being a former Mesa Boogie repair tech (the real reason Glenn has him in the band…), Jay has performed with the Gary Cable Project in the Okanagan and Vancouver. He has also played a gig with former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper…but he doesn’t talk about that much…

Kevin

Kevin

On Bass

Kevin has been playing in bands for over 40 years. In the 80’s, he was playing 6 nights a week touring the western Canadian rock club circuit. In the 90’s it was the country scene. Then he took time off to get a haircut, get a real job, and raise a family, eventually returning to music scene to help his son get started in it. Over the past decade Kevin has played with a variety of rock/country cover bands in the Edmonton area (including Radio Crush with Glenn!)

Dennis

On Drums

Dennis has been playing drums professionally in the Alberta music scene since he was 16 both in his own bands and as a sideman for touring country and rock artists. Recently he has been playing with the country rock band “The Drive Dogs”, blues artist “Dylan Farrell” and is currently the drummer for the “Heart” tribute act “Brigade.  He is also co-founder and drummer for the band Cadillac Junkies.  Dennis plays with precision, aggression and full-on passion as he strives to provide a solid song-serving groove.
